New Doha Airport

Stumbled upon following article regarding the new Doha airport which has been named Doha Hamad International airport.

Seems the dreaded busing will finish second half of this year, unfortunately to late for my upcoming flight in May.

According to the article it will open in April, but only for low cost carriers and a few other foreign airlines. Qatar Airways won't move in until "2nd half of this year" so those tedious bus rides will exist for at least several more months.

Correct !

At least there will be less congestion for the runway starting April 1st, so better on time performance.
