Boston Sour & A Vodka Gimlet With Mint

I am from Boston and, to tell the truth, until your post I had never heard of a Boston Sour. So I looked it up, and my question is: Why would you want to drink one of those in the first place? The recipe includes a raw egg white! And around here, there's usually a better chance of something going wrong when you least expect it; so why take the risk?
