BANGKOK: -- A video clip surfaced last week showing four men brutally attacking several women, even knocking one of them unconscious.

The original video was uploaded by YouTube user Nattawut Buathong but was later removed as it violated YouTube’s policy prohibiting content designed to harass, bully or threaten.

An MCOT news program later broadcasted the clip but did not give further information about who the men and women portrayed in the video were.

Before we get started let me make it very clear that derogatory generalizations about all Thai men will NOT be tolerated. Plenty of foreign men are just as happy to beat up women as Thai as well as men of every other nationality. So, don't even start down that road.

Cheers

What a mess! Without smart phones these crimes would never have come to light.

What I would like to say would be against forum rules. dry.png

It's tragic that these males (not real men as we commonly understand) feel the need to gang up on poor defenseless women.

As the mod said, generalizations are unfair as any males from any country could have been involved in this scenario.

The Burmese males in the video were acting as "caretakers" of the women? Indeed!

Seeing this just makes me very angry as I am sure it does most of us.

Problem is what can/will be done about it? Answer: Probably nothing.

I'd like to say a lot of things but I don't know where the line is drawn.

I do wonder, since ID'ing the perps should be easy, if there will be any punishment.

That kind of thing makes me feel homicidal.

It's pathetic and cowardly enough, laying so as a finger on a woman, but a systematic beating like this beggars belief.

I wish I never waTched that.....

Horrible, hope a real effort is made to catch those guys. Not so sure about the "Burmese males" part. That's just lifted from a netizens YouTube comment. The narrator in the video says at least 1 Thai male was part of that group.

Man, I couldn't even bear to watch the entire clip. Outrageous.

Do you guys understand what the commentators are saying? The Thai public is just as outraged. They're not sure who these guys are, but the language spoken doesn't appear to be Thai. Anyways, pretty depressing. I'd like to have a few minutes with these guys to give them a taste of their own medicine.

This is very old. I first saw this months ago.

Hopefully some of those pieces of sh&t men in the video will be recognized and get an ass-whooping by men who don't condone such treatment of women. One can wish. I doubt the police will put any effort towards this crime since no one has filed a complaint.

So who filmed this?? one of the women? one of the men? the SAS?

Horrific!

All kind of imaginable revenge-episodes goes through my mind, but this is a job for the police. Let's hope they do their job thoroughly and with good results.

Switch your TV on everynight at 8.30pm and watch channel 7.. men hit women everyday on the soap operas so its not surprising they do it in real life as they watch the garbage everyday...

I think blaming Burmese males is a poor effort for the Thai's to save face. The wife watched and reckons they were Thai males. Either way lets hope they get what they deserve.

Well...here are some videos, the Cultural Ministry can get excited about and maybe do something about the tarnishing of Thailands image!

I will not hold my breath, though!

I think and hope it's generally considered in poor taste for a man or men to smack around women.

how does 1 come across such a video on youtube? do you put men beating up on women in the search engine? I never seem to get past big knockers bikini or pets do funny things.......

Jokes aside (of which I see 4 jokes for men) totally sickening.

Based on the right-leg flick-up in tandem with double-slap at exactly 1:00 the smart money says this is the first fight this "guy" has ever won.

Take a good look AEC countries. This is what you get when you come to this country. You have Thai employers showing their "power" over Myanmar women hoping to get a job in Thailand. These women are hoping to get jobs in Thailand thinking that the new AEC would make Thailand a more business friendly country. THINK AGAIN! I had this video translated so I know all of the conversations.

Why do you think Thai women prefer foreigners?

This is disgusting. sad.png

lol sounds like a couple of people on here think it's OK for men to beat up other men.clap2.gif

My exact thoughts..... Not really sure of the logic of TV to post stuff like this, and in essence tell people not to comment on it. Well I am sure the Thais are doing plenty of commenting on their boards, and am sure it is not good towards Thai men...

Not using the services of these ladies, or any prostitute, would be a step in the right direction!

What a bunch of heroes.

That prick with the handbag needs to receive some contact counselling. Then move to his mates.

A post discussing moderation issues has been hidden from view.

"Draws Ire Of Thai Netizens".

This is a part of Thai culture. Why are Thai "netizens" disturbed? Every Thai understands this. Thais are upset because everyone can see this for real.

Remember: Thai culture is controlled by Thai guy.
