Actually, I think that's about right - and I would say the same about me or anyone else that did it, if you get away with it then that's one thing but if it ends up costing you money too bad for you but that's the way it goes...nobody forced you to put yourself in that position and yes, a penalty of some type was arguably forthcoming and deserved.

What I CAN'T agree with is the implied suggestion of the poster - and all those that liked his post - that he deserves to be mutilated and horribly disfigured for life or perhaps even mortally wounded.

Suggestions:

1) look up "pedophile" in a dictionary or better yet the DSM.

2) Look up "consent" and consider how it's relevant and whether a 23 year old or 25 year old is capable of giving it as you or I (and if you think not, then figure out would you draw the line and why you would allow 23 year olds to have the rights of an adult in anything at all).

There are arguably a whole lot of less than flattering things one could reasonably say about people in such relationships but "pedophile" isn't one nor does it make sense to be disgusted by the older man but not the girl in her mid- twenties.

Tempted to ask what is the age difference that is not disgusting to you but that topic is I gather and old and overdone one on TVF...

Well, all we learn from the article is that she CLAIMS that she used it to pay off a loan shark. But it is not clear whether that is true or if she borrowed from the loan shark with the intention of paying it off by theft.

"She then used the money to repay a loan shark, whom she had borrowed from to open her clothes shop before she got arrested."

The sentence above makes it impossible to work out the sequence of events or her motives of the theft - at best we know what she ultimately may have done with this money but not necessarily anything else.

"A police check of her background revealed she had been arrested before. She had used a credit card to buy 90,000 baht of property, but only paid back 45,000 baht."

So perhaps she's not exactly an otherwise innocent girl victim only of an unwise choice and an unscrupulous loan shark but rather a person with some already existing character flaws...
