Lawyer For Quick Notarisation Of A Document?

Can anyone recommend a Chiang Mai lawyer who will quickly (and not too expensively) notarise a copy of my passport that I need for a bank application in the U.K.?

Any quick responses would be greatly appreciated.

I would use the UK Honorary consulate in CM ...

In my experience banks only accept notorisation by your country's consulate.

My guess is as OTDS recommends.

Banks probably have a standard ruling, but I'm not sure

I am from the UK, but I needed to get some money transferred from my Scotiabank GIC in Toronto by SWIFT.

I had two choices, go and sign in person or have two pieces of ID with my signature on, certified by my consul. The charge for each piece is 1,500 Baht but you cant have both passport and UK driving licence on the same page, so it's 3,000 Baht. No need to do any photocopying they take care of all that AND make sure they write any stipulations that the bank may ask for, otherwise you might need to repeat the process. Keep copies by all means, but if they get lost you'll need originals again.

Has her number changed?

I haven't seen her for ages, so I'd go with CM's.

I'm pretty sure my 053 office number is correct although the personal mobile number you list is also correct, Mobile: 0818824311.

I'm sure contact will be made and I've added yours to my contacts too. biggrin.png

Just as a quick follow-up for the benefit of anyone who finds this thread via the search function.

I visited Khun Sumalee this morning, and she was the ideal professional and a delight to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to others here.

Her office is in the ground floor of Punna Residence, which is on the south side of Huay Kaew Road, between the Phu Come Hotel and Chiang Mai University. There is a Mac Coffee shop out front.

Don't confuse Punna Residence with Punna Five (Punna 5?) which is on the same road.

Ah now I know why I gave the wrong office number, the last time I visited her she was still at The Tanin.

Glad to hear you got everything sorted.
