Sunday saw the start of the 26th Chiang Mai International Cricket Sixes, one of the most enjoyable weeks on Chiang Mai’s sporting calendar. 31 teams from around the
world descend on Chiang Mai for a week’s intense cricket competition and of course the occasional alcoholic beverage. The event is being held at the

Chiang Mai Gymkhana club which is on the Chiang Mai-Lamphun Rd, adjacent to the Foreign Cemetery. It’s a fun way to spend a day listening to the sound of

leather on willow and admiring the pleasant scenery of the Gymkhana club. Even if you aren't particularly a cricket fan it’s a great day out, with a beer stall as
well as British, Australian, American, Indian and Thai food for mum and dad and a large open area for the kids to play in! Entry is free and if you need further

information contact Pedr at The Olde Bell British Pub, Sandy at the UN Irish Pub, David at Zoom Bar, Awn at White Lotus Bar or Stuart at the Down Under Bar.

Some good quality matches so far - most notably from a very useful team from Bangladesh, as well as some good performances from some of the local Thai kids, whose cricket development the Sixes support. The competition continues today, Friday and finals day is on Saturday 6th April. Entrance to the Gymkhana grounds is.free. Everyone is welcome!
