Mario2008 Posted April 5, 2013 Share Posted April 5, 2013 A lot of airlines require a baby to be at least 2 to 14 days old, best is if the baby about 2 to 3 months old. But for a healthy baby flying is no problem. Airline staff can always give you travel tips and you can tell them of your needs, such as baby milk. Jonny B Posted April 6, 2013 Share Posted April 6, 2013 bassinets are for supposed to be for babies 10kg max, age isn't relevant. just flew emirates rtn to Sydney with 9 month old who only just fit in the bassinet but nobody checked her for weight etc. had to book the flight and seat 3 months in advance to be bale to get that bulkhead seat though so you'll have to be quick. emirates charges 5% for infants. Thai airways use the age as a restriction as well as weight. I asked on board and this was their answer. They said that after 6 months they are not allowed to use the bassinet because they moove and wriggle making it unsafe. Other airlines may have other rules. .
