My wife just called them today and asked how much for her, our 4-year old daughter and myself, Swiss national living in Thailand since 27 years. Answer:

Thai adult: 250 Baht (already up from the 200 Baht)

Thai children up to 90 cm height: 100 Baht

Thai children over 90 cm height: 250 Baht (same as Thai adult)

Foreigner: 500 Baht (living here since 1 day or 100 years) same same with Thai drivers license: same same 500 Baht

The few foreigners who were willing to pay all say it's not worth the money at all. Very amateurish. I better download a good Dolphin show from the US in HD from Youtube and our little daughter (over 90 cm) can watch a superior show as many times as she wants on one of our 50" TVs for free. I downloaded it already, in 1080p.

How shortsighted Thai entrepreneurs sometimes are!

I have been here about 4 or 5 months ago with my TGF and her daughter, we went to the counter together and i showed in that time my 1 year Thai driver license( have a 5 year one now) and we paid Thai prices for everyone. Didnt had any problem at the counter, the customer service was quite well imo :-)

About watching a Dolphin show on DVD on of your big screens, maybe you can let them check everything on TV and no need to bring them outside your mansion anymore ;-)

Sorry man I think you are sad to make a fuss over 250bht . I agree its a pain but that the way things work in Thailand "and if you don't like it why not go to Denmark"

A fine thai apologist, "IF YOU DONT LIKE IT "

So why doesnt someone set up a facebook page to complain, or publish their email address

so that we can send the owners lots of emails. No place for this discrimination in Thailand for

foreigners living here and having kids and paying Thai taxes.

How come that some of you get the Thai price showing Thai driving license and others don't ?

Maybe its got something to do with smiling and show some respect and you will get a better price.

"I told them: Fxxk you, I live here so no way I will pay tourist price."

The "them" you were being abusive to were probably just staff on minimum wage who were merely implementing the rules set by the owners. Made their working day a little less pleasant and further coloured their view of farangs.

And further reinforces their feeling that most farang are savages.

Ohh, you 2 guys are really wise, I am impressed.

I work in the Oil Offshore industry and not for the Royal Danish Embassy so my language is not the most soft spoken/diplomatic in the world.

Further for your info, it was the boss in the ticket office that got the famous word as I was holding up the line during our "talk" and he came to investigate.

I hope he got a dose of oil offshore diplomat talk he wont forget soon. biggrin.png

Got news for you, I work in O&G too and used to have your attitude on things like this. I guess I have a different perspective these days as I try to become a kinder, gentler soul. Sometimes it's tough as I want to rip someone's head off and shate down the hole, but that is not the Buddhist way.

If you live in Thailand one of the first things you should know is that when you go off on them, it reflects poorly on you, not them. I know it's tempting and I've done it myself in my early days in the Kingdom, but you learn after a while that there are things you can change and those that you cannot. No sense getting worked up over things you cannot change. If the situation is not to your liking, smile and decline. When you read them the offshore riot act, you get no where.

Chok Dee.

the 'owner' of this attraction is a personage of a group that cannot be named

speculation in whispered tones speculates the party involved has a dislike for foreigners

so i don't think you will not get any satisfaction here on prices

this is very true and we should close the topic before it gets any worse.
