Air Asia Counter At Centralplaza Airport Mall

Featured Replies

Hi. I remember that Nok Air had a check in counter at the Airport Mall (CentralPlaza?) You could stop at the mall before your flight, check-in your bags right there, then Nok had a shuttle to the airport every 30 minutes or so.

Anyone know if Air Asia does anything like that? I'll have a rental car & I can return it at the airport, but if I keep it till my flight I"ll end up getting charged an extra day of rent. I'd rather have them meet me at the mall earlier in the day & return the car, if there's somewhere at the mall to store my bags.

I guess as an alternative is return the car at the airport early in the day, find somewhere to store my bags for a few hours, take a taxi or tuk tuk to the mall, then another taxi to the airport later one. I just don't want to pay an extra day of car rent just for shopping a few hours at the mall.

Dreaming....

Wouldn't the rental car company be able to drop you at the airport? And would they have their office very close to the Airport Plaza mall? In that case you may be able to leave your bags with the rental company office, then you go shopping and then let the rental company drop you at the airport.. Ask them.

Or, ask if you can rent not for a full day but just a late return for a little extra money.

It's a 10 minute walk from the airport to Central. Less than 1 km. Air Asia at Thapae Gate charges 150 thb more than the internet............
