May 8, 201313 yr The morning after the bug attack..... Lots of visitors for breakfast this morning. Indian rollers, coucals, a young egret and lots of mynah birds
May 8, 201313 yr Not for the faint of heart but.... One of my staff collected them all up and put them in a bucket with water. (about 1 gallon) They soaked all day and after work he took them home to cook and eat them. I kid you not. I have eaten some weird stuff here in Thailand (grasshoppers, locusts, congealed blood soup etc) but flying termites? Yuk I'll let you know if he makes it back to work tomorrow.
May 8, 201313 yr Author Sounds resource-effective though. Imagine the amount of natural resources required for a similar amount of beef protein.

May 8, 201313 yr Have you not tried honey ant soup? Tastes like hot flat lemonade and not bad.I got some fried beehive a couple of years ago. The larvae still were alive inside. Tasted wonderful, but had to brush my teeth twice to get rid of the vax.
