I hope all will go well with the referendum. It's a double-sided sword: You have to be sure to win it before calling for it. I have no idea what the average Irish population's idea is about gay marriage.

Personally I would love to see it passed, however I'm not sure what result it would get when it goes to the people, I think the younger generation are for it and the older generation more likely to side against it, and as they are the biggest voters I'd imagine it would be very close.
