Saan
Can any please tell me the approximate cost of having angioplasty and a stent procedure in Chiang Mai. I am not covered here for the procedure (pre-existing condition) but am covered back home so I'm tossing up as to whether or not it is worth the trip back. rcjoop
Two years ago I had this procedure in CM RAM with placement of a Xience V everolimus stent. Total cost 200.000 baht. Joop
hellodolly
I don't know where you come from but in Canada it could take up to a year by the time a specialist see's you and then he applies for an operating room at a hospital. Many times you need to be recommended to the specialist by a regular doctor and in some places they are hard to find as they are all booked up. Your best chance would be to go to an emergency room in a hospital I have heard that England has the same problems. Can't say for sure about that. But I knew a fellow who knew people in fact he had met the queen twice and he told me if you know the right people no problem go to the head of the list. What ever you decide on good luck,
Thighlander
I think those stints run about 6,000 usd each....boston scientific.....a sgerman guy had two put in at RAM and told me it was 13 or 14K usd. I heard 7 million have private health insurance in the UK.....maybe the "free" stuff isn't so great.

None complained about waiting times.
