3G Aircard For Reliable Uploading

Featured Replies

Hi everyone. First off, this is my first post on Thai Visa. Been reading the forum for a while and thought I'd actually start posting :P

Arrived in Chiang Mai earlier in the month and I need reliable internet for uploading. My apartment sucks for this so I thought I should get 3G? I heard DTAC is good but I went to several DTAC stores (Airport Plaza and the Big C down the road), but they didn't have any aircards in stock. Should I go to TrueMove instead or another service? Or where the heck can I get an aircard for DTAC because I've gone several times in the last couple weeks but they never have any. Thank you!!!

Forget the DTAC stores they're about as useful as a fishnet condom.

Pop into one of the IT malls - e.g. Icon near the moat. DTAC uses 850MHz 3G so watch out for the frequencies (850 = dtac, cat, true) but you should have no trouble finding one in there. Many of the mom&pop shophouses that do phones will usually have an aircard or two in stock...
