can't relax here. am a complete nervous wreck.

Bloody hell Stevie, there's another 5 hours or so :-)

Just a quick note regarding none of our players being involved in a title run in........Toure, Sturridge and Sakho (albeit in a different league). Is there anyone else? Don't forget how close we came back in '08-09 season.

who has never won anything as a manager yet. he's doing all the right things but he still doesn't have real experience of a championship run-in.

Exactly! Likewise I am his biggest fan but your are correct and neither do any of our players.

Toure knows! Believe it or not so does Cissokho, he won a league title in Portugal. Skrtel won a Russian title with Zenit, Agger a Danish league title, Suarez a Uruguayan league title. Not the same, I know. Other players may have won leagues elsewhere, too, not sure.

Sturridge also should have a Premier League winners medal from when he was at Chelsea, though we know he was a role player and did not play much. But he's been in the squad for a Premier League winning team, so that can only have helped seeing how it's done first hand, and being a part of it, albeit small.

And Gerrard, Lucas, Agger and Skrtel have experience of fighting for the title at the end of the season with Liverpool and coming up 4 points short. Let's hope they can do one better this time!

But ya, compared to City and Chelsea, our main players are short on the experience of winning the Premiership title.

Ya Johnson did get a league title with Chelsea, though he probably played in less than half the matches. Suarez probably got a league winner's medal with Ajax, but the year they won the league while he was there, he spent the second half of the season with his new club, Liverpool.

"Suarez is worth £100m!" Rodgers insists star striker is on the same level as Ronaldo and Messi.

I'd take notice of this, but as it comes from The Mail, I suppose it better be treated the same as all the other old tosh. biggrin.png

Steven Gerrard is one goal away from drawing level with Kenny Dalglish in the club scoring charts and Daniel Sturridge is eyeing Robbie Fowler's LFC Premier League record. Here are all the stats ahead of the clash with Tottenham from Ged Rea.

Gerrard's next goal will see him join Dalglish on 172 goals for the club and a position of joint sixth on the Reds' all-time goalscoring list.

The skipper has netted nine goals in his last 13 games in all competitions and four in his last four. Gerrard has fired 11 league goals this season. Only once in his career has he scored more - in 2008-09 he was on the scoresheet 16 times.

Sturridge has netted 12 goals in his last 13 games since returning from injury.

Should he score another goal this season he will equal the club's Premier League record held by iconic Anfield No.9 Fowler (set in 1994-95) of finding the net in 19 games in a season.

Earlier this season Liverpool recorded their biggest ever victory at White Hart Lane, winning 5-0. Luis Suarez (2), Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling and Jon Flanagan with his first for the club scored the goals while Suarez captained the Reds for the first time in the league.

Tottenham had Paulinho sent off midway through the second half and it was to be the last game in charge for Andre Villas-Boas. He was sacked the following day. It ended a run of six successive defeats at Spurs in league and cup.

Last season at Anfield Liverpool came from behind to win 3-2. After Suarez had netted on 21 minutes Jan Vertonghen scored either side of half-time before Stewart Downing equalised on 66. Gerrard won it from the penalty spot with eight minutes remaining.

Liverpool last did the league double over Spurs in 2006-07, winning 1-0 away and 3-0 at home.

They are looking for their fourth Premier League double over the Londoners and their 13th overall.

No Liverpool manager has recorded his first 150 league goals exclusively in the top-flight quicker than Brendan Rodgers. It was achieved in just his 68th game at Cardiff last weekend.

The Reds' next victory will be their 50th under Rodgers in league and cup - this will be his 91st game in charge of the club.

Only nine times has a player scored 30 league goals in a season for Liverpool. They were scored by Roger Hunt, Gordon Hodgson and Ian Rush (twice each) and Sam Raybould, Jack Parkinson and Billy Liddell. The last was by Rush who hit exactly 30 in 1986-87.

Suarez could become only the sixth Liverpool player to score 30 goals in a season (in league and cup) on more than one occasion. It has happened in total 24 times.

The No.7 has scored five goals in his last four games.

Jordan Henderson has played more minutes this season for Liverpool than any other player - 3,122 in all games. He is the only Reds outfield ever-present in the Premier League.

Kolo Toure scored against Tottenham for Arsenal in April 2007 in a 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane.

Liverpool have scored 44 goals at home this season - the most ever scored at Anfield in a Premier League campaign is the 46 struck in 1995-96.

If Liverpool score four goals in any other match this season they will break Manchester United's Premier League record by scoring four or more goals in a game on 11 occasions.

They have scored in 21 league games in a row - their longest run since they netted in 25 in succession a sequence straddling the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons. In all 21 they have found the net in the first-half.

Liverpool are unbeaten in the last 12 league games, winning 10 and drawing two. They have taken 32 points out of a possible 36. The Reds have lost five of their last 39 league games.

Liverpool are 20 points better off than they were at this stage of last season.

Spurs' defeat to Liverpool back in December was their heaviest loss at home for 16 years.

Tottenham have picked up nine points from the last possible 57 in visits to Anfield.

The Londoners have kept three clean sheets in the last 17 league visits and four in the last 26 on this ground in the top-flight.

Tottenham's heaviest defeat at Anfield came in September 1978 when they lost 7-0. It is still the club's biggest ever league defeat.

Tottenham's last hat-trick against the Reds was scored by Jimmy Greaves who scored four at White Hart Lane in April 1963 in a 7-2 win.

Spurs have won four times in the last 67 league meetings at Anfield. They came in 1985, 1986, 1993 and 2011.

They have won one of the last 19 visits - back in May 2011 they recorded a 2-0 success with goals from Rafael van der Vaart and Luka Modric (penalty). Younes Kaboul, Michael Dawson, Aaron Lennon, Danny Rose and Sandro from the team that day are still at the club.

On the road this season Spurs have won nine times in the league. Going into this weekend's games no team has won more - Arsenal and Manchester United also have nine victories.

They have picked up 29 points on the road compared with 27 at White Hart Lane.

They have been beaten away from White Hart Lane 4 times - at Arsenal (1-0), Manchester City (6-0), Norwich City (1-0) and Chelsea (4-0).

Last Sunday against Southampton they came from two goals down to win a league game for the first time since November 2010 when they defeated Arsenal 3-2 at The Emirates.

They have conceded 40 league goals this season with 20 of those coming in just four games. In their last nine games in league and cup they have kept one clean sheet.

Emmanuel Adebayor is their leading scorer with eight league goals in just 15 appearances. However, Roberto Soldado (once) is the only forward to have scored in Tottenham's last five top-flight games.

Against the current top-four teams, Spurs have picked up one point from seven games and have conceded 23 goals. Their point came in a 1-1 home draw with Chelsea.

Tim Sherwood has been in charge for 16 league games with Spurs in total winning 10 and losing four since being appointed head coach just before Christmas. He was the Blackburn captain who lifted the Premier League trophy at Anfield in 1995.

Sunday's referee Phil Dowd has officiated this fixture three times - all at White Hart Lane - with Spurs winning each game 2-1.

Firstly big kudos to Palace and Arsenal for yesterday's fine efforts.

I hope to God, Buddha and Allah for a Spurs drubbing this afternoon.

If the 'pool are to win the title they can't afford to drop any points for the rest of the campaign.

Come on Liverpool.
