Sterling yet again Man of the Match for me - never ever, imagined he would be this damn good.

Allen deserves a mention he's done great when asked to step in.

Stunning start to the game but painful and very nervy viewing 2nd half - can't take much more of this...

Lucas did ok but really looked sluggish and leggy after the first 35 mins onwards... Maybe we have just got used to Henderson running non stop for 90+ mins covering every blade of grass.

Come on Red Men smile.png

I remember getting the hump with Sterling last season, he has turned his potential in to more than what most of us thought he could be, i.e. a good winger, but he is much more. Never thought he could play in behind like that.

Allen was fantastic yesterday and another lad who i thought might have been a waste of money, but he's getting better and better.

Come on you Baggies wink.png

Sterling could be the best player in the league in a few years if he keeps improving like this. Great display.

Was a difficult match, too many errors and it looked like after those 2 goals the players just wanted to hold on to the lead.

Will be a nervy last 3 matches, it looks like. I'm daring to dream but that game gave me a heart attack.

Titles are won, not given. On to the next match. City are still in this and so are Chelsea if they can get 3 points next week.

It ain't even close to being over yet!

Gutted if all this moysey talk is true. Please let him stay.

Couldn't agree more. Another season of mid-table mediocrity is fine by me. God help the Premiership if they get someone who actually knows what they're doing.

Hope klopp doesn't go there, aswell as him being a good manager he's a very likeable bloke.

He'd be my pick and I'd be surprised if United didn't have him ranked at the top. Like you, I hope it doesn't happen !

Take away Van Judas and they are nothing.

Some serious spending required at a time when other, more wealthy clubs are in the market as well.

You are worrying a little unnecessarily in my opinion. The problems at United run deeper than just the manager. It's Fergie era hangover and I predict it will last some time yet, whoever does or doesn't come in. Relax.

Can't argue with that. There'll be at least two or three seasons of nothingness for Man U and that's being generous.

I previously wondered if Mourinho was the man, but he's a liability.

There's no doubt in my mind that the Messiah returns to Old Trafford. Don't laugh, all hail Schteve McClaren.

Anyone notice that all the ex Man U managers seem to be intense and humourless. Hopefully they could not bear to employ someone with personality and humour like Klopp. Must be something in the water.

I'm excluding SAF from the equation of former managers btw. Clearly he does have a strong sense of humour and personality

Or will it all be soon forgotten.

See this is the thing what's getting me now, everyone saying the Glazers must take responsibility or the blame, well, I guess their partly to blame but the appointment of Moyes was all on fergies recommendation was it not?

It would appear the Glazers felt Ferguson had earnt the right to choose his successor and to attach blame for that is harsh. I feel its Ferguson that should shoulder the blame for a ridiculous choice but of course it had to be sanctioned presumably by the owners didn't it.

I think carmine is right. That is how it is in business.

But. United made a song and dance of it by getting Fergie to sell Moyes to the fans.

If Fergie sold Moyes to the Glazers, he must have been off his rocker.

So in this case it all points to a monumental c up by red nose.

Glazers must have trusted Fergie and then eventually pulled the plug when the inevitable lack of results got too much to deny.

So it seems top 4 was his contractual requirement and ensures him only a one year payoff. Not bad coin though for a crap job.

That's exactly how I see it.

Loss at Everton made it mathematically impossible for United to qualify for CL.

Glazers pulled the plug.

No coincidence.

Yes you don't get a six year contract without some breakout clause and if you have inherited the league champions then top four would be that minimum requirement. No coincidences in the timing.

If any of you ended up being forced to watch that CL semi last night then you know what a timely reminder it was that you needed to make Chelsea come to Anfield and win! It was utterly dreadful, parked bus from the off with no real intent to win the game. It would have been more exciting watching Songs of Praise. Hopefully if you score first you will rout Chelsea but if they score early were in for another torrid example of "the ugly game"

Another example of how Mourinho's anti football kills games, and yet another reason he was overlooked for the United job.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho says he wants to rest key players for Sunday's trip to league leaders Liverpool.

Manchester City can still win the title if they win their remaining four fixtures and Liverpool lose a game.

When told that resting players against Liverpool might not please City, Mourinho said: "I think I will do it, but we have to speak internally."

oh look, he's made it all about him again. him and his tiny squad and minimal resources. bless him.

Everything is about him, narcissus didn't even come close.

He certainly thinks ahead, but not necessarily about football.

I wish he'd give his style of football a rest too. Its an affront to the sport, a boil on the arse of the beautiful game.

If that was the tiny totts that had just strangled the life out of the Spanish leaders in a CL semi final away leg, you'd be fapping like a maniac..
