mike111
I expect to be in bkk for 3-4 days for meetings. any suggestions for a centrally located hotel which is a good value? Im not planning to splurge, just need a place which is clean, safe, and close to the skytrain/BTS. TIA
SeaVisionBurma
Will move this to the Bangkok Forum. Might pay to post some more information - Bangkok is a large city. What area do you need to stay near? (ie where are your meetings?) There are a number of other threads running in the forum with advice on Bangkok accommodation - browse through or do a search.
smokie36
Have to agree. Most importantly of all give an idea of what you want to spend. For there is no point in suggesting a particular class of hotel if its too expensive....similarly a guesthouse if you want a place with business facilities. Once you do....we can make plenty suggestions I am sure!
SeaVisionBurma
Very good point - price range helps!
mike111
tnx, for the inputs. location: siam/silom/sukhumvit. anywhere which is adjacent to a skytrain is ok. price range: 1000-1500THB a night. The hotel doesnt need to have a business lounge/pool/etc. I expect to be out on meetings all day, so I will be dining outside (no need for in in-house gourmet restaurants). smokie36
I suggest Unico Premier in Petchaburi...right next to the MRT. Around 1400. or Citadines...they have on Suk 23 or 16(I think) but 1650 I think. Woraburi are doing rooms for 1160 on Suk soi 4 at the moment which is a good deal. Closer to Silom is the Astera by Saphan Taksin BTS for 1250. Best of luck!
SeaVisionBurma
Some good suggestions above from Smokie36. Can also suggest any of the Nantra properties - a deluxe room will be around 1000-1100. Good clean new rooms, flatscreen TV, free wifi and a simple continental breakfast. No pools or restaurants, but they have some good locations around Bangkok (search through Agoda)
