I recently sent an email to Foodland requesting information on an out of stock item. I wanted to know if this product was permanently or temporarily out. There was a bit of a delay in response due to the long Songkran holiday.

I received an email on Monday explaining that the product supplier said that it would be available in mid May. However, " there is limited stock in other stores and we can have some transferred to the Laksi store for you". "How much would you like?" I was shocked at this response! Tuesday morning I had an email saying that the product would be available on Wednesday morning but standby for confirmation. Tuesday noon I received an email telling me that the product that I requested was now at the Manager's office at Laksi. I picked up my supply later that afternoon.

I would have expected a response telling me to check the Laksi store after mid May for the product. But to have them transfer 10 of the items that I asked about is something to commend Foodland for. And in such a speedy manner and NO additional cost.

Foodland has done something that shows their true interest in customer service and I post this as a compliment to that service.

Was it pickle relish???

I'd kill for some pickle relish. (well, maybe not kill, but...)

I am very curious.

No big deal on the product. I just happened to be that I have a taste for PanAsia Smiked Clams.

I have been advised to get lots of Omega 3 due to an eye problem and clams are reputed to supply that.

I now have enough to last until mid May and I will be stopping by Foodland anytime I get a chance.

BTW The nearest Foodland is the one at Laksi, which is about 30km from my home. None of their competitors in Ransit/Pathum area have ever carried the smoked clams.
