Only way is to relocate to a new capital. A lot of land and property owners will object no doubt, but you cannot circumvent around a problem like this, not when 10 to 12 m lives are at stakeO

You might want to try GOOGLE. This problem was recognized and been warned by many(outside scientists), over 30 years ago.

You google it. Find a scientific study, and who did it. If it is Thais, believe me, it is crap. I read one Thai "scientist" say "the solution is to build a wall around Bangkok" lol. My god, really, so so amazingly childish.

I think this is bs. We are more at risk of being inundated than sinking; Now, does inundated or sinking make a difference? Not really, effectively. But you DO need to know what problem to focus on. Sinking probably aint it, and if it is, you need real geologists to study it.

One reason that land in Khon Kaen is so expensive is because many from Bangkok are buying land. Some say that KK will be the next capital of Thailand once Bangkok sinks.

Well we all live in hope. I have seen it in the town where I live. This endless desire to cram 5000 rooms of apartments into 2 sq km, with roads that were laid out 50 years ago. Fortunately, it appears that the prospective developers haven't got the cash to go ahead. It is really as though they look at the first 10 sois of Sukhumvit and believe that is some kind of achievement.
