I remember when I was living in the suburbs of a provincial capital, an English male 'partnership' were living there with their one Thai LB. Everyone around loved it and treated them like kings.

If the ladyboy is still intact, than he is male. Perhaps a gay male, but a guy nevertheless, living the persona as a female.

If the so-called ladyboy were to revert back to wearing male attire, then would the friend still visualise the person as a woman and want to be romantically involved with that person? Or would this spoil the illusion and the friend be suddenly hit with the fact that he is actually having an affair with another guy, which is the reality of the situation in these cases.

It`s living a fantasy, separated from reality. The OP`s friend is living a delusion. He is probably gay, but is trying to deceive himself that he is straight, by having a male partner who is depicting himself as a woman.

I believe there are many people who are gay that are afraid to admit this fact to themselves and therefore consider that if they enjoy sexual relationships with those of the same gender with only certain sartorialistic differences, then they will not be categorised as gay, either by themselves or by others. But in fact, the only people who are convinced they are not gay, is themselves.

i have found that there is a wealth of information to be gleaned from talking to those asian looking people who seem to be everywhere in thailand.

it would seem GK has done so, even going so far as to call them friends.

I think everyone deep down is bi. What brings it out in a person is the right combination of circumstances and person. Thailand obviously is a paradise for any of those types who could't get away with that sort of thing in farang land. Not to mention they are more attractive too. I harbour no ill will towards them though. Each to their own. Just hope he is not partying without a hat.

I might be a buy sexual, meaning if I want anyone to have sex with me I have to pay them, but I`m not bi sexual.

Not everyone is bi, hextro, gay or lesbian. We can have several sexual preferences (the legal kind I mean) or just one.
