I am currently into my second 90 day Non-B visa which will expire in July. I got my first back home and my second from Kuala Lumpur. My Company was set up less than six months, I have a work permit till July and I am one of the Director of the Company together with two other Thai shareholders. Things don't work out too well and I am contemplating to do the following:

1. I want to cancel my work permit and cease to pay my income tax and the social security of my four Thai employees. Once these are effected, does my Non-B visa still valid? Can I remain in Thailand till July?

2. What does it take to cancel the work permit? Any problem if I do it myself than through an agent? How much does it cost if I do it myself and fees payable to the agent? Do. Really have to cancel the work permit?

3. Can I leave my Company intact rather than closing it? Must I remove my name from the Company? Or can I sell it to someone else at a price less than the entire set up?

4. I want to stay in Thailand for a couple of years till my retirement age, what are my options? Is Ed visa the best option? Will I get it without any issue since I already have two non-B visa stamps in my passport.

Bottom line is I want to transit from Non-B to another visa and remain in Thailand for a few years at the least costs.

1. Entry remains valid.

2. Due to 4 I would cancel and you can do yourself it seems as your company. If not done could cause issues later if you change your mind and want another.

3. Believe this has extreme danger as you will be libel of any actions that might occur but no real knowledge of this. Most people are well advised not to buy such a company but if you can sell believe it would get you off the hook.

4. Previous visas will not be an issue for ED or even tourist visas - suspect most people would not have much problem using either for 2 years.
