I am off to koh samui on 27 December this year for 5 weeks,there are 4 of us going when do we need to apply for travel visas and roughly what is the price hope someone can help?

The single-entry tourist visa is valid for travel to Thailand within 90 days from its date of issue. You can apply by mail at most Thai consulates in the UK. The consulate in Hull is known for a fast turn-around, but December will probably be a busy period so don't wait until the last moment to apply.

As said a Tourist Visa will give you 60 days and will cost £25.

But do remember visa must be used within 90 days of issue so do not apply now.
