China At War - When, Where And Why?

Historically all big military powers have tried their luck on foreign soil. When, where and why will China use military force?

- An orchestrated political instability in Laos could give Beijing an excuse to “liberate” Laos, similar to when Vietnam went in and cleared Cambodia of the Khmer Rouge, except China will stay and annex Laos as they did with Tibet. This could happen within 10 years and bring China awkwardly close to Thailand.

- China has invested heavily in Africa and if some Robert Mugabe II suddenly wants to nationalize all foreign owned assets, China could put boots on the ground to claim what they thing is rightfully theirs. This could easily happen within 5 years when the navy and air-force is ready for a long range deployment.

Is Thailand safe? I would think so, but with a population of only 70 million Japan did reach far south, China could do a lot more damage.

I don't think we will have a Battle of Midway between USA and China....ever!

China will have completed phase III of its 500 million bbls strategic oil reserve by 2020 and by then they might feel ready.

They have a huge infantry force , they could quite feasiably form a human chain from west to east and march south clearing all the anti personal mines left behind by the other lot .
