Way Too Small Text Showing In My Computer....

Featured Replies

Firstly, I am sorry if I publish this thread in the wrong place on thaivisa, If so is the case, maybe a moderatorcan change it

to the riht place please.......

Anyway, turned on my computer this morning and went straight into Thaivisa.com..... I found out immy that during the night

something has changed drasticly... The text and words coming up was so small so they are extremely hard to read...

My computer I think, is not the problem, I am reading and have now been working with it for 3 hours, and no problem all my settings are like they were yesterday.

But Something happanened inside Thaivisa. So my question is. Can anybody plse direct me to where i can change so I can get back the normal size of the text showed in thaivisa......

Sorry to say I am not especially tecnique good, so all help is appreciated.

Thanks guys...

in your web browser re-open thaivisa and then hold down the "CTRL" button and move your mouse wheel up or down to make the text/screen image bigger or smaller.

Anytime .. happy web browsing .

FYI You can do the same with CTRL & + or CTRL & - (in case you don't have a mouse wheel).

If you are British and need it more often then you can change your keyboard settings to English (United Kingdom) and it will always be at SHIFT+3.

Control Panel -->

Region and Languages -->

Keyboards and Languages -->

Change Keyboards -->

Choose your keyboard type.

alt+156 works too for £

alt+0128 = €

alt+157 = ¥

Tried that, although my keyboard doesn't have a numeric keypad only the numbers near the top of the keyboard. Nothing happens.

Put it down to my computer illiteracy. Thanks anyway.

Thanks for your input, but no joy there either. It'll be my computer incompetence.

Yes, this wont work on the numbers across the keyboard only on the numeric keypad but most laptops will have a way of turning on the numeric keypad.

Look for a "Num Lk" key or something with a similar name.

On my Sony Vaio, pressing "Num Lk" turns some of the alphabetic keys into a numeric keypad, e.g. letter 'm' is zero, 'j' is 1 etc.

This will then allow you to use the alt 0163 technique.

(Dont forget to turn it off when you've finished smile.png )

Too much hassle if you don't have a num pad. Just keep the special characters you need somewhere in notepad and copy / paste them when needed. (Highlight with mouse, ctrl-c, ctrl-v)

If you're stuck, look for Windows' Character Map applet (charmap.exe). You can just select, copy and paste it from that, along with all the other special characters.

My goodness, the thread has turned into an ascii tutorial, so it should be renamed to "Welcome to computing 101 - 1976". Have people really not learnt this and it is all forgotten knowledge?

My notebook has a zooming touch pad

Moving two fingers together or apart zooms in and out.

It can be pain when it happens unintentionally; :bah:

I love the smell of irony in the morning.

Alt 0163 isn't ascii, it's ansi.

Alt 156 is ascii (and Harry - it saves you a keystroke) tongue.png

I see you couldn't get it to work. Two things to remember - hold down the alt key while you're typing 156, plus it only works on the numeric keypad (and with numlock on, obviously).

(p.s. OP - it can be a pain trying to find the default size using control-scroll wheel. Control-0 (zero on numeric pad) is 'zoom reset'
