I know that you need your English level to be at B1, after October of this year, After looking at this web site http://englishexamcentres.co.uk/b1-esol-entry-level-3.html it appears that it is a 10 minute test talking and answering questions about a subject of your choice.

Taking that into account, what sort of English course, that would be offered at a local college or centre would be good to help with this type of test?

The only course that I have seen seems to be an ESOL level 2 which I am not sure if this would be suitable for this type of test.

the B1 language requirement is equivilant to an ESOL entry level 3 pass. my wife just completed this, and it was a 3 month course. she did a speaking and listening course.

I am sure there are other ways to get the B1 pass that are quicker, but you have to make sure the qualification is recognised by the UKBA
