I first read the poem in a book of poems by Dean Barrett called “The Go Go Dancer Who Stole My Viagra”, an excellent read had me on the floor laughing for two hours.

The term is 'Kitsch'.

I disagree.

Quite poignant in its simplicity. A good little poem.

Hmm, I think kitsch is a bit more base and 'cute', whereas this poem draws a rather stark picture, not at all in the genre of the 'fluffy pink thing'.

It is art and art is subject to interpretation.
