PATTAYA:--Nongprue Police have arrested a 53 year old man who is thought to be one of the main organizers of what is now known to be a contract killing, of a Village Chief which did not go to-plan.

On Sunday at the home of the Chief of Village Number 3 in the Pong area, Khun Nikon aged 45, a reconstruction took place following the arrest of Khun Eganan, who is thought to have worked together with Khun Tanabeudi aged 51, who was arrested on 10th May, to formulate a plan to kill the Village Chief.

It is now known that they were paid 500,000 Baht to kill him but they claim not to know who ordered the killing as communication with them was limited to telephone only and he did not give his real name to them.

Khun Eganan rented a room at a nearby resort and watched Khun Nikon and his family for a number of days to see if there was a pattern in their movements which would give them a clear opportunity to commit the murder.
