Children "stolen"

Featured Replies

my x took my 2 boys (4 & 6), that so far lived with me 80 per cent of time with me (since we separated) and sent them to her village to her paents where they just started new semester. w/o my consent. the court divorce verdict says 3 days with me and 4 days with her, 50% split on the educational and healthcare costs. so far she helped me the 20% by staying with them at her home when i had some chores to do. prior to sending them to her folks she said that she was working and don't have time to take a partial care of them and that the boys will go to an intl. school in amnat charoen, (which there is none there). i said i will take care ofthem 100% or provide for paid nanny in case i travel to work. since the boys've been away i had no contact with them due to the fact that i dont have tel. no's to her fam. what are my rights and how useful/observed are they in this country, anyone might be familiar with these cases? thanks for an advice in advance.

your rights are, as the legal father, you can go collect the children from whatever relative they have been left with & take them with you, no one except the mum can stop you. as she has breached the custody agreement I would get an emergency court order stating that she is no longer doing her share of the child care & ask for 100% physical custody based on this.
