Changing Schools

Featured Replies

hi and thanks everybody for replies

if I change schools during term do I have to change my visa too even so I still have 11th month left.the new school will provide me with all their documents

What are you talking about? If part time language school you are normally on an extension of stay rather than a visa entry and it ends the moment your school ends.

I would like to do the same thing but it seems like you'll be paying double the price. Just go to the other school and do your check inns as normal.

I would like to check into phuket immigration instead of Bangkok Immigration. Does anyone know if that is possible.?

Thanks!

You have to use immigration office that serves your specific province/area.

Just an FYI. If you change schools to a different province then in order to do extensions in your new province you need to first go to immigration in the old province and get a "transfer" stamp in your passport.

This is a new process implemented 1 month ago at chiangmai (god knows if other immgration branches follow it). I found out the hard way as my school had no idea about it. So i had to go back to BKK to get this freakin stamp. Standard immigration not telling anyone about a change.
