The punishment fits the crime would be easier on citizen wallets, as the killers would get immediate punishment, saving taxpayers money, without spending decades in jail or being released for saying they're sorry. This is why I suggested the Thai government may not only look at raising the 800k / 65k, but also putting a ceiling on the retirement visa / extension age here in the future. Example, retirement visa is available from 50 to 75 years of age. After 75, you no longer meet the criteria. This way, the Thai government gets you in when you have money, and are capable of spending it, then get rid of you when you have spent most of your money and / or are incapable of spending it.
