Is Residency Certificate Required To Sell A Car Or Bike?

I own a half dozen or so cars and bikes all in my name.

I am well aware that a residency certificate is required by a farang BUYER when doing the transfer at the transport office.

However, I plan on now selling off a few vehicles....and my question is therefore:

Is a residency certificate required by a farang to SELL a car or bike?

I live in Phuket, so any stories or clarification from anyone who has recently sold a car or bike and did the transfer at the Phuket transport office would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not living in Phuket, but yes.....in order to SELL a motor vehicle you need either

- work permit

- house documents

- residence certificate from immigration

Not sure if you need an original for every vehicle. Pretty sure that the validity is 30 days.

In Chiang Mai ( it varyies from region to region ) all you need to sell is a copy of your passport .Buying you need either one of these 3 ,a residance cert ,a work permit or a yellow house book .

I have sold numerous motorcycles ,so i know the score .

Therein is the problem. Some such as joepattaya say a residency certificate is needed to sell a bike or car.

Others such as Anto say it is not needed.

Does any one have an actually example of selling a bike or car and doing the transfer at Phuket transport office?
