Bread Mixer - Home Pro?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if Home Pro sell bread mixers? I've been playing about with making my own bread recently and whilst I have made some great loaves, the kneading process does take a long time. I'm not looking for the full bread maker machine, just the machine that mixes the dough. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

I tried a bread making machine bought from Hong Kong. It just did not seem to work here. Something to do with the electricity????

All of the breads/cakes etc came out looking like bricks. We tried different yeasts (from here and HK) nothing worked.

A commercial bread maker might work?

I do the dough kneading with an ordinary kitchen assistant. They normally feature a "dough hook" that you can do this with. However I don't know if they sell them at home pro I bought mine in Sweden. rolleyes.gif

Thanks for the replies guys. I saw some commercial dough mixers in Macro at the weekend but they were huge and very expensive. I'll probably go to Chaweng this weekend and see what I can find, otherwise it looks like sticking to the kneading by hand wub.png

You were unlucky - we brought one over from the UK when we moved out, works perfectly.. Kenwood BM450

To the OP, there is one on invadeit, not sure it is any good - Hong Kong might be your best bet

Good idea to buy from Hong Kong if he lives there, if it can't be bought in Thai or on Samui for cheaper will be surprised.

There is a Fagor breadmaker advertised on special at InvadeIT now. I am sure he can send it to you. I have dealt with Thomas before and he is very reliable. He is a TV sponsor. I have one of the fagor breadmakers for 2 years and it is great. It works best with hard australian flour but you can use any. Just play around a litttle till you find the best mix.

Thanks guys! As soon as our power comes back I'll check those links out :)

Thanks for the links. I've checked them out and I'm not looking for a bread maker, rather just a dough mixer. I've heard that bread turns out better when baked in an oven and there's more room for error. Thanks for the links anyway guys, Verasu in particular looks good for future equipment.
