I have absolutely no idea but I am curious. Why would anyone need 5 dump trucks full of shredded coconut husks?

I mixed mine with rice husks, light sandy soil, and cow shit to give a top soil covering ahead of laying grass turf.

OP - where are you based ?

Good Googling - but do you know where the ISLAND of "Koh Tao" is in relation to Roi Et?

There are many coconuts grown on the mainland and anything to reduce dumper truck miles will reduce costs. Yes buying in bulk will be cheap but having a deal with a few (major) markets stalls that get through a truck load a week will fill the need given some time, I doubt someone asking this question on a forum will have the staff to process so many tons of raw/fresh Coir in one hit.

Personally I would look at either growers, end users or dumps and then trace back a source, some research and talking to people will be a damn sight cheaper than paying five trucks to drive from Koh Tao and back. (660Km x10 x3.5Km/Lt about 56,000 Baht - less wages and cargo cost itself.) for what in the area will be a waste product.

Although the South is a major growing region I see some sources closer to Roi Et on Yellow Pages: http://www.yellowpages.co.th/ look for มะพร้าวและผลิตภัณฑ์ (Coconut products)

On highway 4 south of Prachuap on the seaside there are normaly tons of the stuff next to the road. Unfortunately I don't have a clue who to contact. If you have a Thaiwatshadu near you, you can speak to them they sell small quantities but maybe can put you on the tract of a supplier.
