Choking To Death On His Own Vomit

Featured Replies

When a life is at stake you should do what you think is right.

For me, even if the possible consequences are high.

But "how high?" that's for each of us to decide for ourselves.

the kid survived without more problems to the sidewalk so why not put him on his side ,, iwould have never moved an inch away from that kid till the paramedics where there police know how to move a bike also

I've seen the same thing with this issue in Northern Thailand.

The Thais will not allow white foreigners to touch Thai casualties even if you could miraculously heal them with your hands they are not interested.

I don't know why, but this is what they do.

Sadly informing the Somchais in brown that if the kid died his spirit would come back to haunt them would have made them more likely to let you help rather than informing them the proper proceedure.

Bunch of ignorant <deleted> in this country, but there are many who know what to do and when to do it.

Why bother, you're falang so let thais deal with it even if it is in the most stupid possible manner :whistling:

I hope the kid made it, otherwise it is a tragic story and those officers should be charged with negligence that resulted in death (fat chance that's going to happen). But I've done an internationally recognized first aid course here in Thailand and you receive a good Samaritan protection card which allows you to act in such situations like this as a first responder before the paramedics arrive and the card protects you from the police pressing charges if you were to carry out the proper procedures in dealing with whatever situation. I recommend people in Thailand who have a little free time to take the course as flashing that card would usually be enough to allow the police to allow you to deal with someone in need of immediate care.

But does that card do any good at all when faced with an idiot wearing a tight shirt and a badge?

There is a 99% chance whatever card you have won't matter when it comes to these imbeciles.

I would check with immigration if that's allowed on a tourist visa.

That would be something. Save a life and get arrested on a visa violation. I honestly would not put it past them. Like they did in Phuket after the Tsunami causing problems for people trying to help others.

"Authority" here, if you can even call them that with a straight face, is appalling and idiotic. There are some times when rules need to go out the window, and in great times of need or emergency, that would be one of those times.
