60 Day Visa Application

Featured Replies

I am about to visit the Thai Consulate in Hull in order to obtain a 60 day tourist visa, which i intend to extend for another 30 days when in Thailand.

I will be travelling to Thailand in 4 weeks.

I just want to check on a few things from the "Aba Visa Application Pack" which i've downloaded, and about to complete:

"Proposed address in Thailand" - My intention was to only book/rent a serviced apartment for my 3 month stay, when in Thailand and not before i travel. I may possibly book a

hotel for 2 or 3 days before i travel which should give me enough time to find a suitable apartment.

Will this be a problem, or do i just leave this part blank?

I may have asked this before and i think i was told there would be no problems...but i'm double checking:

My return flight is booked for 90 days after i depart the UK, but the visa is only for 60 days (until i extend it).

Any issues here with either the Thai Consulate or airlines? and in the "Proposed duration of stay" do i enter 60 or 90 days?

One last thing, will i be asked to provide evidence of funds to finance my trip - bank balance ect?

Sorry for the no doubt basic questions, i just want to have my visit to Hull run smoothly.

Thanks.

1. I would just write "hotel" as they will report your presence. If you actually have a name write that down.

2. Return ticket is not required with a visa for entry so no problem with it being 90 days or 9 days.

3. Normally nothing is asked but they could ask to see 20,000 baht (in home funds) for a tourist visa issue.

I always write "Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok" on all my paperwork. I think I may have visited their coffee shop once - certainly not twice.
