Early Rainy Season?

Featured Replies

in pattya seems to have started about a month early
from my experience it usually begins in july

sometimes right on the first of july too
this year normal or not?

thanks

Statistically nothing unusual.

There are two peaks in the monthly amount of rainfall: May and Oct.

And the big rain is in Sep and Oct as in most places.

I remember to have been in Pattaya in Sep 2011 during the record rainfalls/flooding.

Terrible experience.

A few more 'averages' charts.

this year normal or not?

in may 2006 Pattaya had nearly every day rain.

All the charts show a significant increase or single spike for May.

In my Isan region I would state: rainy season has started LATE this year.

Just a couple of days now we have significant rain there.

(currently I am on visit in Pattaya btw,).

In my Issan area the season started early (May). Were finally at normal of rain fall for the first time in three years. Let it rain let it rain let it rain.
