I was you I would go and buy that PCX and then consider the top box later on.

On my pcx I was also considering a top box but due to the huge space under the seat not necessary so I never bought one.

You can consider also Cocoase V36 with changable color lid to match your new PCX. Some additional options like remote/alarm, inner trunk light, inner liner, back rest and even mobile charger are also available. (Stop light or brake light is our standard feature for all Coocase topcases)

I think 30L seems like a good compromise size. Bigger than that and they seem too bulky for my taste.

For various reasons I'm not ready to buy the PCX just now. How much larger is the space in a PCX than an Airblade or a Nuovo?

So you are right, and you can see most of our PCX customer choose V36 instead of S48 or V50

I never ridden the Airblade or Nuovo so can't say.

The space is big, we can just put 2 pilot helmets in the deep part of the space and then you have the narrow space behind that for a rain coat and a lock.

Go and look at somebody's pcx somewhere - shop- friend or whatever.

The fuel tank is not under the seat like on most local bikes but in the frame forward.

Sure, I've been meaning to go to a dealer and have a closer look anyway, but for now I found the picture below on the Internet. Is it the same here? It seems a little bit larger than the storage space on the Airblade, but not much. I can fit a full face helmet as well and have some space available in the rear just like this.

My HUMBLE apologies to everyone that read my post regarding the top box and rack I purchased for my Yamaha Nouvo E.

My wife phoned in the order for the box and rack. However I see now that the rack is listed at 550 baht. I could swear that my wife told me it was 450 baht.

I did not use www.helmet2home as I indicated in a previous post. Very sorry about that.

I've more or less decided on the GIVI E30 TOUR 30 liter pictured below. If anyone has any good reasons I shouldn't buy this box speak now or forever hold their ... errrmmm..

I'm already considering my next bike might well be a PCX 150 - would this box still be reasonable with that? (different rack obviously).

Anyway, one thing that's still holding me back is all the example mounts on that website have a really weird rack that seems to attach it to the ... sorry I don't know the English word for this bit, the bit that is over the wheel to protect from water and stuff? It looks weird. I'd have thought the rack should replace the hand rail thing behind the seat?

3 kg is nothing, a trip to the baker. Is that normal for boxes like this? I kinda had the impression the Givi brand was one of the better?

Yep, a 47liter box with a load of 3kg surely isn't meant for shopping

AFAIK there are GIVI boxes with higher load. But higher prices too. For example the E55 Maxia 3 with a load of 10kg.

Givi is one of the better brands. Other cheaper brands may tell you the load is 10kg for their box. But should you believe it? Givi tells you the truth i guess. So no suprises with boxes falling of your bike at 120kmh.

I'm sure if just filled with clothes etc it wouldn't be much more than 3kgs and you'll hardly go touring with a couple of shopping bags filled with heavy beer in the box.

Oh no.............! Dont tell me that I got it wrong again ? when I ordered a rear rack and Givi top box for my bike the stipulation was that it must large onough and strong enough to hold a full box of long necks ,

You would be surprised how much tightly packed clothes weigh. My wife owns a few clothes shops. About 5 months ago we went wholesale shopping in Bangers. After buying 4 big bags of clothes we got the lad from the shop to bring it down to the pick-up. I went to lift the first bag into the pick-up bed and I couldn't lift the bag! The lad had to help! And I workout at the gym 4 days a week! WE ENDED UP WITH 10 bags in the back and it noticeably effected the performance and handling.

Don't underestimate the weight of clothing!

I can confirm this issue for my Givi E26N top box. But not a big problem for me. I don't store my helmet in the box. But its very useful if i lose my key for the box. Thanks for the tip
