This is at my local Big C store...There was absolutely NOTHING to bump your head on until this sign was created. I get a chuckle fairly frequently reading signs in Asia, but this "self imposed danger" I found unique. Anyone else see some humor in the signage near you?

I see that there is an escalator in the picture. Although there is nothing directly above to bump your head, if you were to hang your head over the side of the escalator it is often the case that you could have your head guillotined as the next floor approaches.

Yeah this sign is very common in Thailand. Oddly in the states, the epicenter of nanny state-ism and civil liability, I have never seen them, just usually a hanging plastic triangular guard.

I would agree that some escalators do pose a danger. In this case it would have taken a Chinese acrobat to harm themselves before the sign was posted. Now, with the sign, it is much easier... But with more and more Chinese comin' round this may be a necessary "protection"

Anyway the signs for the TCC in the MRT that send you to the completely wrong entrance aren't amusing !

Spot On,,,this happened in Thailand not long ago, Read online that some Thai was hanging over the escalator, trapped there head under the next floor, didn't chop there head off, but it stretched there head, so they ended up looking like a giraffe , and are now living life like a cabbage
