Advice sought - booking a return 60 day - border run

Featured Replies

Hi

Im an Irish national and seek to book a 60 day return flight to BKK

If I booked an air asia or thai airways flight to phnom pehn before arriving and printed out confirmation.

Would this suffice for immigration?

Many thanks for any information

searched the forum few times and still unclear

cheers

Fred

P.S apologies if this has flogged to death allready, links much appreciated

Let's try this over in the visa forum. Topic Moved.

Not sure what you want to know.

Immigration is not interested in this, they normally leave it over to the airlines to check if you have a flight out, which is only needed when you do not hold a visa. In Asia it is seldom checked by the airline, but still can happen.

I think if you are asking about having an onward flight in order to get a 30 day exempt entry. A onward flight out within 30 days would be fine to show the airline. As said immigration does not check for this.

But you could get a single entry tourist visa from the consulate in Dublin that would give you a 60 day entry. With a visa you would not need the onward flight.
