What does "ekkasan" mean and how to write it in Thai?

I often hear the word "ekkasan" popping up in a lot of thai communication. I tried to look up the dictionary to check the translation but it looks like I got the wrong thai syntax. Can someone tell me what the word means and how to write it in thai script?

It means paper, document, and it is spelt เอกสาร.

I often hear foreigners say "hai ekasan" or "song ekasan", meaning to hand in documents.

The correct Thai is "yeun ekasan"
