Applying for a Thai visa in Chiang Mai?

Featured Replies

I am an Aussie traveller here in Thailand on a visa exemption (30 days) that was issued upon arrival. I love the place so much I want to stay here for 3-6 months. I am flying to Cambodia at the end of the month and I want to return after that. Can I apply for a visa in Chiang Mai before I leave, for my return trip?

You must apply for a Thaivisa at a consulate abroad.

Phnom Phen will issue you a double entry tourist visa that will be good for 6 months stay if utilised correct.

The time to process a visa in Phnom Phen is 3-4 days.

Moved to the visa section.

Am not at all sure a 2 entry visa would be available in PP - only place I am sure in area is Laos. And the time in PP can vary - this week understand no visas are being issued.

That's ok, I'm in no rush. Cambodia, Laos it doesn't matter much. If I cannot get a visa in Phnom Phen, then I'll try in Laos. Thanks for the heads up :)

Just done the run in Laos and its easy no hassle ..flying back today
