TM 8 Application for re-entry - Flexible dates?

Featured Replies

I am on a yearly "O" marriage visa and am thinking of taking a bit of a tour round some of the neighboring countries.

As I understand it I need to Apply for Re-Entry permit (TM8) that cost 1000Bt. before leaving the country. (if I want to return on my "O")blink.png

The dates required on the form for departure are very specific Day - Month - Year. I don't know exactly when I might be leaving the country if at all, so how flexible are these dates. If I show up at the border to leave a week or a month after the date I put on the application will this be a problem?

The return date is more flexible as they ask "and shall return to Thailand about (date)"

The other question is do I need to make this application at my local Immigration office or can I go to any office, say one near the border I intend to cross.

Thanks.

You appear to have a one year extension of stay so you must obtain the re-entry permit at that office or at airport you are departing from if they issue. The date is not important and you can put anything and believe most places will allow it empty.
