Ayutthaya to host next mobile cabinet meeting

AYUTTHAYA, 15 June 2013 (NNT) - The central province of Ayutthaya is chosen as the venue for the upcoming mobile cabinet meeting in July.


The meeting, which is scheduled for July 18-19, will focus on Ayutthaya’s bid to become the country’s water transport hub and to expand transport links.

The provincial authorities are also preparing to request additional budget for the construction of levees protecting river banks from erosion, flood control projects and the upgrade of tourism services in many areas.

The last mobile cabinet meeting was held in Kamphaeng Phet province, where a request to develop lower northern provinces was approved.

Public Health Min warns of toxic waste contamination during rainy season

PM helps “Sam Yuranan” campaign for Don Muang by-election

BANGKOK, 15 June 2013 (NNT) – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra helps Sam Yuranan Pamornmontri campaign for the Don Muang by-election. She promises to solve heavy traffic and uplift quality of life of Don Muang residents.


Prime Minister Yingluck, along with other well-known politicians, visited Donmuang Technical College to help Sam Yuranunt Pamornmontri, the Pheu Thai Party candidate, rally for his campaign.

During her speech, Ms Yingluck vowed to solve heavy traffic in the district as well as improve life quality of the people. She also promised for skytrain, closed-circuit televisions, and a hospital in the area as the Premier asked Don Muang residents to give Sam Yuranunt a chance to serve them.

She has also urged the residents to show up on the Election Day. The election is scheduled for June 16th, 2013.

PHUKET: A newborn baby boy with a rubber band twisted tightly around its neck was found dead in a pile of rubbish in southern Phuket beach area of Rawai yesterday afternoon.
