one WP - work for 2 companies - is it possible ?

Featured Replies

Is it possible to work for 2 (or more)companies on a single work permit.

(working part time for each)

or

to even to have one wp that allows you to be employed by a number of companies.

Pretty sure if both companies are in the same province they both can be added to the one work permit.

Thanks Spoonman - any idea what the labour dept. guidelines or regulations are for that ?

A second employer can be added to the work permit, but you will need permission from the first employer to have a second employer added.

Thanks Mario - that might work

"A second employer can be added to the work permit, but you will need permission from the first employer to have a second employer added."

And the second employer will be required to provide all the same documents, the same as the first one did.

You can certainly add two companies to the WP (with the permission of both).

However certainly in some areas you cannot subsequently remove the first company listed in the WP at a later date and then keep the WP with only the second company listed.

WP cancellation and a fresh application for a new WP with the second company are then the only option on offer.
