Lens Replacement

Featured Replies

I had my eyes tested when back in the UK and was told I need new lenses. I already have the frames can anybody recommened (or warn) the best (or worst) opticians to get replacement lenses using the UK prescription.

I thought I saw a topic here covering that some time ago but have been unable to find it.

First Optic seems to get a lot of recommendations. On the Soi running from 3rd Road towards the back of Tukcom, I think it's Soi 17.

I think that all of the optical shops get their lenses made by the same central lab. It's mainly a matter of price and which shop you like to deal with. Here in Tokyo some shops will charge you $280 and some just $90 for a pair of lenses. I've found the cheaper lenses to be just as good as the expensive ones. There is a huge chain of optical shops called Top Charoen. I'm sure that there is one near where you live. Good luck in finding the lenses you want for the cheapest price.

He's good but there's a shop on Pratumnak Soi 4 that's got a better choice of frames etc, at similar prices.
