These are meant for use by vendors of pad thai and various other noodle and rice specialties who prepare big quantities at fairs and markets. In Chiang Mai I know where they are sold. Also, I don't know if this would work or not. But as a substitute for a pizza or bread stone, you can use unglazed terracotta tiles. The bigger and thicker they are the better.
