PATTAYA:--In the early hours of Tuesday Pattaya Police and Police Volunteers set-up a Checkpoint in Soi 17 in South Pattaya in search of those involved in the use and distribution of illegal drugs. At the end of the night two suspected dealers were in custody and 220 Yabba Tablets had been seized.

Over 20 Police and Volunteers were involved in the checkpoint which resulted in the detention of Khun Somsak aged 20 who appeared nervous when told he was going to be subjected to a search of his person and motorbike.

The search uncovered 20 Yabba Tablets but Police were convinced he had more drugs and accompanied the suspect to his rented room close to Big C in South Pattaya. Inside the room was Khun Sampan aged 29 who was searched and was found to be carrying a bag containing 200 Yabba Tablets.

Whoopie! Round up any 100 native people after 1am and I suspect you'd get a gaggle of suspects with drugs on their person. The police already know. The reporters know it. So why is this news? Report it to the Ministry of Mootness.
