PM to British businessmen: Thai politics has stability

BANGKOK, 18 June 2013 (NNT) - Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has confirmed that Thailand has political stability and strong relations with the neighboring countries, which will help strengthen the foundation of the Thai economy and contribute to the growth of ASEAN.

At the annual lecture and dinner of the British Chamber of Commerce Thailand on Monday, Prime Minister Yingluck said the U.K. and Thailand had been good friends for many decades, dating back to the reign of Queen Victoria.

The two countries had recently agreed to hold strategic meetings on promotion of economic growth and employment of Thailand and England, Ms Yingluck said.

The premier assured the BCCT of Thailand’s political stability and good international ties. She said the Thai government was willing to cooperate with the private sector and to continue its support for foreign investment.

I understand that it was a difficult choice for entertainment between Roy Chubby Brown and the PM, but people wanted a lighter mood and a more jokes.

Should have gone for Chubby Brown then.

At least he speaks better English.

<deleted>... Did she say this with a straight face? Everyone knows what a farce it is to do business here. You'd have to be seriously over medicated even to consider it.

Silly Girl,

Good relationships with Britian going back to Queen Victoria with the exception of the collusion with the Japanese during the second world war. Lets not let the facts get in the eway of a Yingluck fairy tale.

So, if over the next couple of years, various exisiting / new delegations of British businessmen are given presentations from those countries making up the AEC - where do we think they'll choose to invest for business?

What do you mean? I'm sure everything her family thinks up for her to say is true, at least the way they look at it it is.
