USA Trump's Shock Move: Fed Governor Lisa Cook Axed in Sudden Purge
(Attorney Abbe) Lowell in a statement said Trump lacks authority to remove Cook from the politically independent Fed. "His attempt to fire her, based solely on a referral letter, lacks any factual or legal basis," he said. https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/feds-lisa-cook-turns-top-washington-lawyer-lowell-trump-fight-2025-08-26/ -

UK-Asylum crisis Nigel Farage says illegal migration is a 'scourge'
One may not like the right wing extremists, but on the other hand what are the more so-called politically correct parties doing to stop the situation that is going totally out of control and can lead to almost a civil war ultimately ? -

Ukraine Ukraine Confirms Incursion in Key Dnipropetrovsk Region
Picture courtesy of BBC | Russian ministry of defence Ukrainian forces have confirmed that Russian troops have entered the crucial Dnipropetrovsk region, attempting to gain control in this key area. Viktor Trehubov, from the Dnipro Operational-Strategic Group of Troops, told the BBC that despite this large-scale attack, Russian advances have been halted. Throughout the summer, Russia has claimed progress into Dnipropetrovsk, pushing from Donetsk, despite only a minimal breach of the border in June. The Ukrainian DeepState mapping project reported Russian occupation in two villages, Zaporizke and Novohryhorivka; however, Ukrainian military officials dispute this claim, asserting that they maintain control over Zaporizke and are engaged in ongoing conflicts near Novohryhorivka. This latest development is a blow to Ukrainian morale amidst faltering US-led diplomatic efforts, with President Donald Trump's meetings with Russia's Vladimir Putin showing little progress. Col Pavlo Palisa warned of Russian ambitions to occupy all territory east of the Dnipro river, intensifying tensions over Ukraine's territorial integrity. Despite hopes for a diplomatic breakthrough, talks have stalled. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that summit agendas remain unprepared, dismissing discussions without Russian input. EU and UK leaders have reiterated that conceding territories to Russia could weaken Ukraine's position and security, reported the BBC. President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine is seeking stronger security guarantees, which are supported by Western allies. Meanwhile, reforms at home, like easing travel restrictions for young men, reflect attempts to maintain civilian morale and connectivity with the diaspora, as millions remain abroad. Australia Iran orchestrated 'dangerous acts of aggression' in Australia
Guess they got it wrong. It's rather the Ambassador from another country that is murdering civilians, journalists, bombing hospitals, that should have been expelled.
