Single entry tourist visa will do. Cost of the visa will be 1000 baht, your currency at current exchange rate, plus commission. The current cost in the US is $40 oer entry. You will be given 60 days permission to stay on entry which can be extended for anothe 30 days in Thailand for 1900 baht.

Agreeing with the above ...

Cost from an Australian based consulate are ...

a) TOURIST VISA-$45 per entry, $90 for double entries, $135 for triple entries

So, if your stay is 90 days or less you can do it on a single entry Tourist Visa with an easy to get 30 day extension in Thailand.

Should your stay be a couple of days over the 90 days, you might wish to consider other options.

What is the exact length of stay you are considering?

A single entry Tourist Visa will give a max of 3 months including extension.

£25 for the Visa and 1,900 Baht for the 30 day extension.

A one or two entry tourist visa (depending on if you want to travel to another country or not) and full information is available at below web site for Hull Consulate and you can visit or use mail to obtain.

Thanks for the replys. I will be staying for around 85 days then moving onto Australia. Do I need proof of an onward flight when I apply for the visa? Because I was just going to book my flight to Oz when I was over in Thailand.

Many thanks

Details are on on the Hull consulate website, which recently changed.

Normally not required to show a flight out of Thailand when applying at Hull.

With a home country passport flights are normally not asked to obtain visa.
