Crime Swedish Drug Trafficking Fugitive Arrested in Bang Lamung
Did you even bother reading the post? If you did then you clearly missed the bit where it said he was working as a chatroom moderator - he was not selling drugs himself, and the platform is not selling drugs either. The platform is a way for individuals to advertise stuff for sale and for other members to buy what is being offered. Basically no different to Facebook Marketplace or the Buy & Sell Marketplace on this site. "Toby is accused of serving as a global moderator for a darknet drug marketplace called “Archetyp”, a platform facilitating the illegal sale of narcotics through encrypted private chat rooms. The platform primarily catered to clients in Scandinavia but extended its reach across Europe." Nothing to do with Thailand, other than he was living here. -

Alert! Bangkok Bank new rule money seasoning
It makes absolute common sense to have an account where funds are available for immediate withdrawal, in the case of an emergency, for example. I merely questioned whether this is an actual requirement, or just good advice, as I can find nothing in official Immigration regulations or orders to suggest such. It often stated that when applying for an extension based on Thai spouse to keep the 400K funds in the account during the under consideration period until the extension has been approved and issued. That's just advice and a recommendation that been quoted through the relevant topics on this forum for years. There is no actual requirement to do so. What's to say previous reports are simply offering sensible advice to use an account where funds are readably accessible, rather than it be a requirement, which I can find no reference to, but I'm open to being proved wrong. -

Tourism Thailand Faces Drop in Tourist Arrivals Amidst Regional Rivalry
How does TAT define a 'tourist'? Pre TDAC was it based on an incoming visitor ticking the box on the Arrival Card? Is it now based on Visa Exemption?
